Joining the BSA is a great way to make a positive investment in the future of British Surfing and get some handy benefits at the same time. As the national governing body for surfing in Britain our many duties include ensuring our surf schools are up to scratch, making sure our best surfers have the opportunity to compete on a world stage, and liaising with other bodies to protect or improve our surfing terrain. The BSA doesn’t receive any government funding, so membership fees play a big part in enabling us to carry out our remit.

Your BSA membership will provide you with worldwide third party public liability surfing insurance cover of up to £5m - well worth having as our lineups become increasingly busy. It will also provide you with a constant pulse of information that will keep you up to speed with the world of surfing. This includes a weekly E-Newsletter/Surf Report, an info-packed BSA yearbook, and a wall planner mapping out all the important surfing events of the year. Another benefit of your membership with us is the discount scheme that we operate with many surf-schools and surf shops throughout Europe. Simply display a valid BSA membership card and receive 10% off all purchases. Your BSA membership pack will include stickers and, depending on stock, one or two other goodies. It is also worth noting that full BSA membership is compulsary for anyone wishing to either become a surf coach or compete in any of our events.
