BSA
Level 3 Surf Coach
Prerequisites:
- A
current Level 2 Award (that has been held for a minimum of 6 months)
- A
current Beach Life Saving qualification (acceptable to the BSA)
- Officiate
at a Surfing Competition or take part in Intermediate Level Coaching
Sessions with a Team/Squad. Details of either to be given to and
approved by the BSA prior to them being carried out.
- Complete
(within the past 12 months) a NCF Coach Workshop OR attend a BSA
Coaching Seminar
The
BSA Level 3 Coach is an experienced and accomplished surfer with
personal knowledge of, and involvement with, surfing competitions.
The
BSA Level 3 Coach is competent to coach surfers of all levels from
Beginners through to Elite Level surfers and to coach competitors
both individually and in a Team context.
This
qualification should be considered a prerequisite for all Coaches
wishing to be involved in coaching Individuals or Teams for surfing
competitions or who wish to have any other kind of involvement with
(including management of) surfing competitions or surfing teams.
All awards are valid for
three years from the date of the Coaching Accreditation Course or
until the relevant lifesaving qualification expires (whichever is
earlier).
